Self-Reflection and Self-Love

8155-honest-self-reflection-opens-your-mind-to-re-programming-changeWhen was the last time you looked at yourself in the mirror? I don’t mean your physical appearance, but deep into your eyes, into your soul. How well do you know that image looking back at you? Do you feel a warm affection?

This is a wonderful, but strange in the beginning, exercise to truly get to know yourself. This article – You Want the Truth? Stare in a Mirror – walks you through the experience.

Self-love is so important! Especially these days with all the ad focus on outer beauty rather than the true-self. In today’s society so much is focused on our physical appearance only. How do you practice your self-love?

You must love yourself before you love another. By accepting yourself and fully being what you are, your simple presence can make others happy

You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love & affection.
~Buddha

  1. I love myself by putting love out into the world. It is only in giving love that we may find it in ourselves.

  2. I love myself by making sure I have time for just myself every day, whether it’s a good book and a cup of tea, yoga or a quick nap. I also try to be kind in my thoughts to myself, instead of self critical (although I’m still working on this every day).

  3. i journal my thoughts and feelings so i can look back and reflect. i try to love myself but sometimes i need to be reminded. i will reread the journals and be reflect on my journeys and the courage that i have. i then remember the love.
